Hysteretic nonequilibrium Ising-Bloch transition.

We show that a parametrically driven cubic-quintic complex Ginzburg-Landau equation exhibits a hysteretic nonequilibrium Ising-Bloch transition for large enough quintic nonlinearity. These results help to understand the recent experimental observation of this phenomenon [A. Esteban-Martín, Phys. Rev. Lett. 94, 223903 (2005)].

Nonequilibrium Wetting

When a nonequilibrium growing interface in the presence of a wall is considered a nonequilibrium wetting transition may take place. This transition can be studied trough Langevin equations or discrete growth models. In the first case, the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang equation, which defines a very robust universality class for nonequilibrium moving interfaces, with a soft-wall potential is considered. W...

Lyapunov spectral analysis of a nonequilibrium Ising-like transition.

By simulating a nonequilibrium coupled map lattice that undergoes an Ising-like phase transition, we show that the Lyapunov spectrum and related dynamical quantities such as the dimension correlation length ξδ are insensitive to the onset of long-range ferromagnetic order. As a function of lattice coupling constant g and for certain lattice maps, the Lyapunov dimension density and other dynamic...

Nonequilibrium Phase Transition and 'specific-heat' Singularity in the Kinetic Ising Model: a Monte Carlo Study

The nonequilibrium phase transition has been studied by Monte Carlo simulation in a ferromagnetically interacting (nearest neighbour) kinetic Ising model in presence of a sinusoidally oscillating magnetic field. The ('specific-heat') temperature derivative of energies (averaged over a full cycle of the oscillating field) diverge near the dynamic transition point.

Nonthermal antiferromagnetic order and nonequilibrium criticality in the Hubbard model.

We study dynamical phase transitions from antiferromagnetic to paramagnetic states driven by an interaction quench in the fermionic Hubbard model using the nonequilibrium dynamical mean-field theory. We identify two dynamical transition points where the relaxation behavior qualitatively changes: one corresponds to the thermal phase transition at which the order parameter decays critically slowl...
